I am a proud resident of Haldimand County. I am a dedicated husband and father of two beautiful girls! My interests consist of music, history, politics and do-it-yourself projects. I am a consulting archaeologist working all over Southern Ontario. I am a Dutch immigrant and arrived in Canada in 1994. I am a honest and hard worker and am not afraid to speak out. That is why I ran in the 2006 Municipal Election.
The purpose of this site to gain more knowledge and insight about the County of Haldimand and its current challenges and policies. How is it governed, what people think about certain issues, bring up new issues etc. Whatever is on your mind can be discussed here. I would like to note that although Caledonia is a huge problem in the County right now, it is not the driving force behind this site. I want to hear about traffic problems, cemetery maintenance, something that was mentioned in the press and so on.
Also, I will post things that are happening in my life, not related to Haldimand County or what I deem to be an important issue such as a Provincial or Federal election. In other words, this is a blog that is intended to bring up important, potentially life altering issues, and supposed to entertain you at the same time.
